Alucard
Main Article: Alucard
| (First appeared in: Ep1 "The Undead"[TV], V1C1 "Vampire Hunter"[Manga], OVA 1) The Hellsing Organization's secret weapon, he is an engineered vampire with smoother mannerisms and a deadly bloodthirst. Always looking for ways to have fun, it is Alucard who brings Seras into the vampire fold and continues to fight the unending armies of both the night and humanity itself. While his motives and actions are mysterious, he has a fierce loyalty to Integra and those who serve the Hellsing Organization. Alucard is usually seen brandishing his custom silver .454 Casull automatic.

Sir Integral Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing (or "Integra" for short)
| (First appeared in: Ep1 "The Undead"[TV], V1C1 "Vampire Hunter"[Manga], OVA 1) The current leader of the British Protestant organization known as Hellsing, Integra is a cunning and powerful leader. After discovering and employing the vampire hunter Alucard, Integra has become an even fiercer commander, entirely committed to her job of protecting her homeland from demonic forces within and without. Always trying to turn things to her advantage, she has great use for the Organization's latest member, Seras Victoria.

Seras Victoria
| (First appeared in: Ep1 "The Undead"[TV], V1C1 "Vampire Hunter"[Manga], OVA 1) At one time a lowly officer in the British police force, her entire life changes when she is executed and brought back to life by the vampire hunter Alucard. Now a child of the night, she begins to learn from Alucard the vampiric ways, each day coming to terms with the bloodthirst within her. While sometimes unsure of herself, she is constantly at Alucard's side, facing down the many demonic hordes as they spill into our world.

Walter C. Dornez
| Walter C. Dornez (First appeared in: Ep2 "Club M"[TV], V1C5 "Sword Dancer p2"[Manga], OVA 1) Integra's personal secretary, Walter has the appearance of an elderly butler, monicle and all. And though Walter is often portrayed as an information gatherer, behind his aged physique is the man once known as "Shinigami" Walter, or the God of Death. What his earlier years were like and what his current abilities are is a mystery, all that is for certain is that his loyalty to Integra and the Hellsing Organization are absolute.

Peter Fargason
| (First appeared in: Ep1 "The Undead"[TV], first speaking lines in Ep2 "Club M") In command of Hellsing's foot soldiers, Fargason is an old military man who mentors Seras when she enters the Hellsing Organization. Fargason does not distinguish between vampire or human, he asks all those under their command to act at the height of their abilities. Fargason is Seras' closest connection to her past police force experience, and under his tutelage she attempts to master her new abilities.

Harry Anders
| (First appeared in: Ep4 "Innocent as a Human"[TV]) An investigative agent for MI-5, Harry Anders has some mysterious relationship with Seras' past. As an investigator, he is somewhat of a representation of what Seras saw for herself later in life, and her encounters with him spur her to take on more investigative work at Hellsing. Harry Anders uses the immortal vampiress, Helena, as a source for information on demonic activities.

The Vatican
Alexander Anderson
| (First appeared in: Ep3 "Sword Dancer"[TV], V1C4 "Sword Dancer p1"[Manga], OVA 1) The top soldier of the Vatican's secret organization XIII, Iscariot, Anderson bears the resemblance of a tall priest with a scarred face. However, instead of a bible in his hands are an array of blessed bayonets and other bladed weapons. With these weapons Anderson is able to inflict pain on even Alucard, and can further restrict the vampire hunter's black magic with holy scripture barriers. Anderson loathes Protestants, Hellsing and England in general with a passion, and is always willing to take on assignments that see the death of any of the three.

Enrico Maxwell
| (First appeared in: Ep7 "Duel"[TV], V2C6 "Balance of Power p2"[Manga], OVA ?) Leader of the Vatican's secret organization XIII, Iscariot, Enrico is equal parts cunning and two-faced, only dealing with Britain's Hellsing when there's some overall gain for the Vatican in sight. Enrico is guarded by Shinpu and often uses Anderson to carry out assignments.

Father Ronaldo a.k.a Shinpu
| Father Ronaldo a.k.a Shinpu (literally "Father" in the Catholic sense) (First appeared in: Ep7 "Duel"[TV], V1C4 "Sword Dancer p1"[Manga], OVA 1) A high-ranking agent in the Vatican's secret organization XIII, Iscariot, he is seen either relaying orders to Anderson or protecting the organization's leader, Enrico Maxwell, with his trusty sabre.

Ghouls
| Ghouls (First appeared in: Ep1 "The Undead"[TV], V1C1 "Vampire Hunter"[Manga], OVA 1) Created when vampires mix a low quantity of their blood into a human being, ghouls are mindless, zombie-like creatures who attack at random in large groups and eat the remains. People who become ghouls can never return to being human

Freak Vampires
| (First appeared in: Ep1 "The Undead"[TV]) Vampires created by human microchips that act on people's inherent potential to become demons, these vampires lack the full range of abilities held by real vampires. However, they still have high strength and speed, as well as the ability to create ghouls and a limited capacity for black magic. The freak chip is more of a drug than anything else, and puts the user in a violent, and semi-euphoric state, increasing blood thirst and a desire to become stronger.

Jan Valentine
| (First appeared in: Ep5 "Brotherhood"[TV], V2C1 "Dead Zone p2"[Manga], OVA 2) The brute force of the Valentine brothers, Jan leads a large infantry of ghouls onto the Hellsing premises. Jan is quick to act on his violent tendencies, and revels in being in a warzone

Luke Valentine
| (First appeared in: Ep5 "Brotherhood"[TV], V2C1 "Dead Zone p2"[Manga], OVA 2) The brains of the Valentine brothers, Luke hatches a plan to invade Hellsing headquarters, using his Jan and his ghoul infantry. Luke is determined to prove his own superiority over Alucard and all of humanity.

Helena
| (First appeared in: Ep8 "Kill House"[TV]) One of the last surviving vampires, Helena, though holding the form of a young girl, is actually many centuries older than she appears. Her only solace is in her library, hidden away from all of humanity. Harry Anders uses her as a source of information on recent demonic activities. Helena has an extreme loathing for Hellsing, which has murdered most of her friends over the past centuries.

Incognito
| (First appeared in: Ep8 "Kill House"[TV], first speaking lines in Ep9 "Red Rose Vertigo") A mysterious demon from the "dark continent," he has some connection to Integra and the various activities involving the freak vampires. Incognito wields an Arsmcor 40mm Multiple Grenade Launcher that uses needle-point exploding rounds.
