Rebels

Mika

image:CHARmika.jpg (First appearance: Episode 1 – Destroyer in the Dusk) - A 13 year old girl, Mika’s mother and Brandon Heat’s long-time true love, Maria, was killed by Harry MacDowel. Fleeing with the help of Dr. Tokioka, she soon meets Beyond The Grave, who, though amnesiac, feels a strong desire to protect this girl. Though Mika desperately desires revenge against Harry and the Millennion organization, she has also become infatuated with Grave, and tries to help him regain his memories.

Dr.Tokioka AKA Dr. T

image:CHARdrt.jpg Doctor Tokioka, aka Dr. T (First appearance: Episode 1 – Destroyer in the Dusk) - The scientist who resurrected, and maintains, the undead Beyond The Grave, he is an old man with a mysterious past. When Grave is off battling Millennion, Dr. T is usually watching over Mika in his laboratory/16-wheeler.

Beyond The Grave

image:CHARbeyondthegrave.jpg (First appearance: Episode 1 – Destroyer in the Dusk) - The resurrected Brandon Heat, Beyond The Grave is a deadly assassin with thick skin and gray hair. During the resurrection, Grave apparently lost all his memories of the time period when he was Brandon Heat, and now knows only how to fight and to protect. He wields two large pistols and a large coffin which doubles as a chain-gun. Though Grave has lost his memories, he still has a strong desire to protect Dr. T and Mika.

Blood War

image:CHARbloodwar.jpg Blood War (First appearance: Episode 9 – Dispute) - A member of the Volcano gang, Blood War is a hitman with 327 known kills, and ends up serving only eight years in prison for it. Blood keeps his golden revolver close at hand, whereas his silver revolver is in the care of his best friend and comrade, Cannon Vulkan. Blood feels alive only on the battlefield, and is always eager to create one where one is not present.

Cannon Vulkan

image:CHARcannon.jpg (First appearance: Episode 9 – Dispute) - A member of the Lightning gang, Cannon Vulkan is a clever business man within his organization. He keeps in his possession his long time friend’s, Blood War, silver revolver. Vulkan and Blood grew to know each other on the battlefield, and feel most alive when both are within one. Cannon has a plan on how to defeat the Millennion organization, but what it is and why he needs Blood’s help to do it is a mystery.

Bear Walken

image:CHARbear.jpg (First appearance: Episode 1 – Destroyer in the Dusk) - Millennion’s original #1 Sweeper and close member of Big Daddy’s Family, Bear Walken is a giant of a man, speaking only when necessary and always getting the job done. Though Bear is a hard man to get close to, he loves his daughter, Sherry, more than anything else in the world. Bear is also fiercely loyal to Big Daddy and his ideals. Bear trains his successor, Brandon Heat, in the same deadly arts of combat.

Bunji Kugashira

image:CHARbunji.jpg (First appearance: Episode 1 – Destroyer in the Dusk) - A loner and formidable gunfighter, Bunji is a close friend of Brandon Heat. Bunji is never seen without his trademark shades on, and wields dual Colt .45s in all his assassination jobs as a gun-for-hire. Bunji is further trained by Brandon Heat, hence their close relationship in real life and on the battlefield.

Trained by legendary hitman, Bear Walken, Brandon continues to hone his gunmanship, focusing his entire life goals towards helping Harry’s rise to power. The only thing Brandon loves more than his job is his one and only true love in the world, Maria, a woman who represents everything good and pure in Brandon’s life. Brandon is destined to be murdered by his best friend, Harry MacDowel, and return as the undead assassin, Beyond The Grave.

image:CHARtruegrave.jpg Brandon Heat's True Grave (First appearance: Episode 9 - Dispute) - Instated by Brandon Heat simultaneously with Bear Walken's Over Kills, the True Grave are handpicked hitmen, trained to shoot-to-kill without remorse, and are dedicated to following Brandon's orders.

Harry MacDowel

image:CHARharry.jpg (First appearance: Episode 1 – Destroyer in the Dusk) - Brandon Heat’s best friend since childhood, Harry MacDowel represents the archetypal businessman: smooth-talking, competitive and always three steps ahead of the game. Harry wishes to someday take over the Organization, Millennion, from the hands of its aging leader, Big Daddy. Harry is the one who brings Lee, Bob and Bunji to Millennion, and courts Bear Walken’s daughter, Sherry; all for the sake of rising to the top and achieving true freedom. Harry is fated to murder his best friend, Brandon Heat, in his pursuit of this power.

Big Daddy AKA BD

image:CHARbigdaddy.jpg (First appearance: Episode 4 – Go) - The leader of the mafia organization, Millennion, Big Daddy runs his business with the help of his closest members, his Family. Big Daddy loves and cares for every member of his Family as if they were his own flesh and blood and, in Millennion’s establishment, set about only one, iron law: Never betray. Those who betray, however close, are killed. Big Daddy is the one who brings Maria out of the slums of the city Gungrave takes place in.

Randy

image:CHARrandy.jpg Randy (First appearance: Episode 4 – Go) - Another member of Big Daddy’s Family, Randy handles a number of Millennion’s less than legitimate business affairs. Randy is the member who eventually trains Harry MacDowel, and though Randy shows little outward emotion he cares a great deal for Millennion and Big Daddy.

Biscoe

image:CHARbiscoe.jpg (First appearance: Episode 9 - Dispute) - A loyal member of Big Daddy’s Family, Biscoe is a strict follower in the old ways of doing things. However, Biscoe is eventually pulled into Harry’s plans for Millennion through dire circumstances.

Bob Poundmax

image:CHARbob.jpg (First appearance: Episode 1 – Destroyer in the Dusk) - A technical wizard and specialist in information-gathering, Bob is brought into the Millennion organization by Harry MacDowel. Bob’s best friend is Balladbird Lee, who was also brought into Millennion by Harry. Bob is almost always seen eating out of a bucket of chicken.

image:CHARlee.jpg Balladbird Lee (First appearance: Episode 1 – Destroyer in the Dusk) - An expert con-man, Balladbird Lee is inducted into Millennion by Harry MacDowel. Lee’s best friend is Bob Poundmax, who joined Lee when he entered into Millennion. Lee’s dealings are mysterious and dangerous by nature, and little is known about his true motives in Millennion. Besides being a dangerous businessman, Lee is also a capable martial artist.

Gary

Widge has a great deal of love for Big Daddy and his ideals, and usually keeps a cool head in even the most dangerous of situations.

Jester

image:CHARjester.jpg (First appearance: Episode 2 – Young Dogs) - Maria’s uncle, Jester, is terribly protective of his niece, and tries to keep her away from slum-dwellers like Brandon and Harry. Jester’s past with Maria or any other relatives remains a mystery, the only thing that is clear is that Jester would do anything for Maria.

Sherry Walken

image:CHARsherry.jpg (First appearance: Episode 8 – Family) - Daughter of the legendary Millennion sweeper, Sherry Walken is a kind girl who, despite being surrounded by the mafia and its affairs, always holds a cheery disposition. Upon meeting Harry MacDowel, she is shy and smitten with the young man, and Bear remains ever watchful of anyone who tries to get too close to his daughter.

Maria

image:CHARmaria.jpg (First appearance: Episode 2 – Young Dogs) - Long-time friend of Harry MacDowel and Brandon Heat. As both of those men enter the Organization, Millennion, so too is Maria taken under the Millennion leader’s, Big Daddy, care. She and Brandon are hopelessly in love, but separated by the chasm of the lives they lead. Maria is doomed to be murdered by Harry MacDowel.

The Butler named Tokioka

image:CHARtokioka.jpg (First appearance: Episode 5 – Millennion) - The butler who serves at Big Daddy’s estate, he is one of Maria’s only confidants. His relation to the Doctor Tokioka, if any, is a mystery.

Laguna Glock

image:CHARragnarok.jpg (First appearance: Episode 15 – Harry) - Doctor Tokioka’s lab partner, Glock’s motives are unclear, but he is determined to further their work on the human body. Glock is obsessed with his work and the advances he and Doctor Tokioka make, perhaps even to a dangerous point.
