Anime Indepth is a Japanese animation and comic web community whose goal it is to become the most in depth anime informational website on the web, focusing on popular series, both past and present.
The site began as Fullmetalalchemist.info in May of 2004; a website oriented towards providing interesting and uncommon information for that series during its run on the air (the URL is still associated with the site. It will send you to the Fullmetal Alchemist page in the knowledge base). After Fullmetal Alchemist concluded its run in both Japan and the US, Saber, the site's administrator, changed the site into Anime Indepth, in December of 2005, altering its focus from one series to multiple series. Since the conversion, many different layouts, changes and users came and went. Due to inactivity of the site staff, visitors and user activity went from over 100,000 visits in a month to a number significantly less. Currently the site is on the upswing, with new contributions, a new format and features and a new layout, hopefully creating new life for the site.
